We were driving up the coast from LA to San Fran and need a place to stay. Pulled into Monterey, turned the corner and saw the Thunderbird. I said “that place looks awesome, we have to stay there”. The wifey agreed!  I love all the old school 60s/70s archiecture in the USA.

BTW, it was a nice motel. Clean, comfortable and a friendly manager.
